The Cost of Living Analysis

The Cost of Living is piece about people who do not fulfil the market value, in the sense of playing on words the cost of living in terms of the financial issue and looking at what happens through experience as you live

do you lose your naivety? The main motive of the film was to the challenge the ' critique the society's obsession with image.'

Eddie and David, the two main characters of the film are disillusioned street perforemers. David Toole is a dancer with no legs, watching him move with such grace would make you question notions of perfection. He is quite determined not to let his disabilities or society's prejudices get in his way. In the clip we see that he has been bombarded with a series of provocative questions from someone, everything we as the audience would want to know, such as, ''Were you born like this?'', ''Ever had a girlfriend?'', however we do not get any answers. Instead a short piece with Toole in the lead was performed. The main motif for this short piece of dance was inspired by David's are movement as 6 more dancers appeared from behind a hill walking on their arms. David Toole, whose incredible performance challenges our perceptions about ability and adds to the film's main motive, ''critique of society's obsession with image.''
